What you will need:
- Buffing Block
- Cuticle Pusher
- Cotton Balls
- Foil
- Pure Acetone
1. Buff off the top coat
First, you're going to want to grab our buffing block. Start by gently buffing away just the top coat. This will break down the seal and allow the acetone to soak into the gel polish.
2. Soak it off
Place a cotton ball soaked in acetone on each of your nails then wrap the tip of your finger in foil to hold the ball in place. Let your nails soak for about 10-15 minutes. After you take it off, some nail polish may have already started peeling off, if it hasn't you may still take your cuticle pusher and scrape it off. If it does not come off easily, soak your nail again for another 5 minutes.
3. Remove the foil
After you remove the foil from your finger tips, the polish may have already started peeling off. If it hasn't, take your cuticle pusher and see if you can scrape it off. If it does not scrape off easily, take a fresh acetone soaked cotton ball and wrap it around your nail with foil for a few more minutes.
4. Clean and moisturise
If you wish to re-apply gel nail polish straight away, do not wash your hands or use cuticle oil until after you have finished as this can affect the staying power.
If you do not wish to re-apply gel nail polish, wash your hands with water and then apply cuticle oil on your fingertips and massage it around the cuticle area.
